Tory came home from work today and picked Gordon and me up and we drove up Mill Creek canyon and we had a picnic, it was so nice up there.
Yes Gordon that is your daddy holding you, he hasn't cut his hair for a while and I didn't want you to get him confused with your mommy!
Tory really wanted to take Gordon swimming I said he was too little he was only 3 weeks old! You can see who won that battle. He didn't hate it, but I don't know that he loved it!
We bought a zoo pass a few weeks ago since we are always right across from the zoo we decided to take Gordon there for his fiest time. I think he really enjoyed himself!
Gordon had his 2 week check up, and he is doing really well. I feel like all I do is feed this kid and it showed on the scales, he weighed 8 lbs 3 oz! They also did his PKU and he didn't even cry! He has been such an easy baby, but he does like to be up during the night he doesn't cry, he just grunts and that means he is hungry. It's about every 2 hours he is wanting to eat in the night, It's a good thing I'm crazy about this kid!
When Gordon was only 10 days old it was my mom's week to stay at the cabin in Brighton, and we decided to take him up! My whole immediate family was there at one point! It was a lot of fun however, it was really hard for me at first to have my precious newborn at an old cabin. I was worried about bugs, germs. and the temperature most of the time, but I relaxed more by the end of the week.

So our little guy is here, and he arrived on his due date! Tory and I went in on 08-08-08 for a non-stress test, and they saw that my fluid was too low and they told me I would need to be induced today. They said I could go home to get my bag, and then come right back to labor and delivery. I cried the whole way home, I was so emotional about the whole thing.
When we arrived back at the hospital, they were so busy and there was no room for me for a few hours. Once I got into the room they started my IV and then gave me the pitocin. I was only dilated to a one once I got there and it took several hours just to get to a 4!
My mom, grandma Annie, Lizzy, Adair, and Katie were all there and a after I got my epidural, it was so nice I was out of pain and we all just watched the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics! Come 10 pm we had all given up on our 08-08-08 baby, but around 10:30 the nurse checked me and I was at a 10 and ready to push, Jan, Scott, Emmy, and Jenny arrived right at this point!
All the sudden the baby's heart rate dropped and the nurse had me pushing to get this baby out before the doctor was even in there, I pushed about four times and he was out! I didn't feel a thing it was wonderful! I am a huge fan of epidurals!
They put him on my chest for only a moment, they then had to tame him to the NICU for a little while because he wasn't breathing very well. It was amazing how much I loved this little guy already! He was born at 10:54 and weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 20inches long. The whole experience was so neat and I love this kid more and more every day!
We had the chance to go on a cruise with Lizzy and Russ, this was the first cruise for all of us and it turned out to be a lot of fun! It was a 4 day cruise to San Diego, Catalina Island, and Ensenada Mexico. It was pretty cold most of the time, and wishful thinking lead me to pack only for warm weather, but I survived. Catalina Island was my favorite place we went it was very pretty and it even got warm enough for Lizzy and me to get into out swim suits and lay out while the boys played golf! We did a lot of eating, I was ready to come home to 10 extra lbs. on the scale, but to my surprise I had only gained 2 lbs! 
So Tory played hockey in high school and every year they have an alumni game, and the graduated players play against the current team. It's so fun because both of his brothers play hockey too and this year it was Tory and our brother in law Tryg, against Mikey and Carl. Carl is on the current team and Mikey played with him, because he helped coach this year. Tory didn't feel well that night and he is a bit out of shape, but he managed to pull off 2 goals and 3 assists! The alumni team won 7to 12!

I had my fourth appointment on Wed. march 26th and everything looked perfect! My doctor, Dr. Froerer, said that I am an "ideal patient"! I still love hearing my cute little baby boy's heart beat it is so comforting to me. I have not been worrying as much these days, because I can feel him kicking around so much, and I love it!
My little guy must have had a growth spurt in the last week, because I went from just looking chubby to looking like I was pregnant in a matter of about 4 days!

Who eats more? I do I can out eat him any day of the week! I'm getting less proud to admit that now that I am gaining all this weight!
Who said I love you first? Hmmm...I think it was Tory, but I really can't remember.
Who is taller? Tory is 5' 10" I am 5' 6".
Who sings better? Tory does! I couldn't sing if my life depended upon it! I wish I could and Tory knows I try!
Who is smarter? Well, when it comes to most school things, I would have to say me, but there is a lot of stuff Tory is smarter in.
Whose temper is worse? Mine. It takes a lot for Tory to get mad, but oh does he love to make me mad! He thinks it is the funniest thing to watch me throw my fits, which makes me even more mad of course to have him laughing! But what makes me the most mad is that no matter how mad I am or how mad I want to be, he can always make me laugh! I don't know how he does it!
Who pays the bills? I am in charge of paying my medical and school bills he pays every thing else. He wouldn't trust my ADD self with his credit!
Who does the laundry? I hate laundry but I do it cause I hate even more doing dishes so he does dishes and I do laundry, but if you ask Tory this question right now his answer would be no one does the laundry!
Who cooks dinner? I love to cook but I don't do it very often so Tor is left to fend for him self many nights! (Sorry Tory)
Who drives when together? Tory does, but he scares me! I'm hoping once we have our precious baby Gordie in the back he will be more cautious!
Who is more stubborn? We both are but if I had to say one of us I would say Tory.
Who is the first to admit when wrong? I would say we both struggle at it, but we are getting better.
Who wears the pants in the family? We both have our areas that we control, I would say over all Tory is in charge, most of the time that is a good thing I'm not the best in charge person!
Who eats more sweets? Hands down Tory! He loves his treats and he starts eating them in the morning and goes to bed eating them! I don't have that much of a sweet tooth while he is eating his bag of candy I am eating my gold fish crackers!
Who mows the lawn? As of right now we still don't have our own lawn to mow, but we are hoping to have one in the next couple of months, and then I'm guessing Tory will we've never had that talk, but I've never mowed a lawn I'm sure it's not too hard.
Who kissed who first? Tory kissed me first. It was on our third date and we were at the Deveraux Mansion watching my favorite movie 13 going on 30.
Who asked who out first? That was me, I've never done that before! I actually had my sister Lizzy call his mom to get his number! I called him on a Saturday and asked if he wanted to go out that night and he said "Yeah, that would be fun. Let me call you back in a few mins!" Well a few hours went by and I accepted that he wasn't calling me back! Well a couple hrs after that he did call me, and we went out, we went to Jordan Commons to see the movie shark tales and ate pizza. I still get mad at him for waiting so long to call me back!
Who proposed? Tory did, he got my favorite food, pizza, and set up a table on the roof of the Deveraux Mansion it was perfect, everything except he didn't have my real ring he got me a cute temporary ring, until he got my real ring which was about 2 weeks before the wedding!
What is my favorite thing about Tory? He is a very thoughtful person. We are living with my grandma and grandpa right now and he is so cute with my grandpa and I love that, he truly loves being around him and I know my grandpa loves his company. Tory is also so cute with kids, he likes to tease them but he loves them. he is going to be the best dad Gordon is a very lucky kid! And as much as I hate it at times, I love that he can always make me laugh no matter how grouchy I am at the time! I just love him a lot!

So Tory and I have had many talks about what we will name our kids, even before we were even thinking about having kids, we would talk about it. Girls names were pretty easy to agree on. We came up with Holly and Lucy for a girls in no time, however boys names were hard I had a few I liked and Tory hated them and Tory's name was a big NO for me! We finally agreed on Gordon which is Tory's grandpa's name who is such a cute man and I really liked the name. Well Tory agreed, but only if we called him Gordie because that is the name of one of his favorite hockey players, and I thought it was cute for a little boy.
Everyone that guessed boy you were right and there is no question about that! The ultrasound was much neater than I thought it would be! Tory thought so too. We are so excited it is so fun to see that there is an actual person inside!

And if you were wondering what Tory and my votes were, we both think it's a boy! I have had two dreams and the first one I dreamt it was a girl, but last night I dreamt it was a boy and that dream felt more real to me so that's what I'm going on!

So ever since the day that I found out that I was pregnant I have worried, everything that I have Read that can go wrong I wait for it to happen to me and my baby! Tory must think I am just crazy, but he just laughs at me and then I cry because "he doesn't care what happens to the baby!" So pretty much I am crazy so... I look forward to every appointment, it truly feels like a year in between each one, and I can tell you right away when my next appointment is with out even thinking about it! Tory always teases me that I can remember anything about the baby, but as far as anything out side of that topic it can't be held in my brain for more than an hour, and it is very true!
So I had my third appointment and I am happy to report that there is still a baby in there and as far as he can tell it seems to be OK! I never thought I would be one of those people who gets so excited and almost moved to tears over just the sound of the babies heart beat, but I am and I don't care to admit it!
