Hawaii 2009 01/11-1/19
We split up the drive by going to St. Gorge and sleeping there one night, Gordon slept most of the way there! Then the next morning we were off to LA making a few stops along the way, we first stopped in Baker California, and ate and the famous Bobs Bun Boy, where my family had spent Thanksgiving dinner (this last Thanksgiving!). Then no road trip would have been complete without making a stop at Calico the ghost town, thanks to Scott for insisting we go, it was fun!
We finally make it to LAX with a couple of hours to spare! Gordon had been so great for the road trip, however it was the plane ride I really feared, with all those people who would be swearing under their breath if he had one of his crying fits...well it turned out great! We gave him a bottle on take off and he went to sleep right away, and woke up for just one other feeding! I was so relieved!
We got to Hawaii around 11:00 pm, we were going to stay with Tory's aunt and uncle Cory and Debbie at their house, but they decided to use their timeshare points at the Hilton right on Waikiki beach, and let us stay with them, it was so nice! Cory and Debbie are two of the nicest people I know, along with their cute daughter Sarah who is so fun!
Tory and I, well I should say Gordon, woke up at about 5:30 am the next morning, (which isn't bad considering it was 8:30 am Mountain time!) so we decided to get up get ready and go for a walk, when we got out side Gordon was screaming with excitement it was the funniest thing! He was so happy to be in Hawaii! He was so cute that trip and even though it wasn't the most relaxing vacation we've had because of him, it was one of the funnest vacations because of him!
Now for a whole lot of pictures!
